Introduction to ReadiNowTerminology

As a ReadiNow customer, you are provided with a TenantA tenant is your ReadiNow account. This is created when you sign up with ReadiNow as a customer. You are provided with a URL to login, and an administrator account to start building your applications. you can use to create multiple applications. Each application you create will include three major components:  Schema, User Interface, and Automation. These three components play important roles in all applications . 

Familiarize yourself with the following terminology as it will be used throughout this guide. Simply hover on the   icon to view the corresponding description.

TenantA tenant is your ReadiNow account. This is created when you sign up with ReadiNow as a customer. You are provided with a URL to login, and an administrator account to start building your applications.


ApplicationA ReadiNow application is a collection of platform resources including objects, forms, reports, workflows, screens, charts, boards and navigation.








SchemaSchema refers to the structure in which the application is built.


User Interface



  1. ObjectAn Object represents a type of 'record set' in the application. For example, People, Project, Building or Equipment.
  2. RelationshipRepresents a connection between objects. For example, 'Projects' has a relationship to 'equipment' in order to represent the equipment needed to complete the project.
  3. Record

    Represents an individual occurrence of an object. For example, 'John Smith' is a record of the 'Person' object.

  1. ReportsReports show a list of records for a chosen object.
  2. FormsForms are used to access, edit and create new records.
  3. ChartsCharts are based on a report and show a graphical view of a set of data in the report.
  4. ScreensScreens can be used to combine multiple reports, forms and charts onto a single page.
  5. BoardsBoards are special pages that can be used to visualise records as 'cards' and to update data with 'drag and drop'.
  6. NavigationNavigation elements are the User Interface components used to navigate through the application.


Automation


  1. WorkflowsA Workflow in ReadiNow is a sequence of activities that perform different actions to automate complex approvals, updated fields, perform calculations, implement rules, create reports and many more.
  2. Email and SMS Alerts

    Create tailored and custom email and SMS notifications. Extend the capability through APIs, providing you with the ability to automate your communications.
  3. Document GenerationCollate interconnected records, generate bespoke Word documents with a simplified mail-merge style.
