The Duplicate option in the Process Builder allows you to create a copy of an existing process along with its current version, including all settings and configurations. This is useful when creating a new process based on an existing one with similar requirements.
Duplicating a process will:
- Create a copy of the existing process preserving all settings.
- Create a copy of the existing process version in the newly created process. The copied version will have 1.0 as the version number
Note:
- The new process name includes the suffix “Copy”.
- Triggers associated with the original Process are not be linked to the duplicated Process.
- Any process execution history including process runs and tasks are not carried over to the new process.
